We are seeking a Director of Business Development to lead Onyx 360’s commercial growth strategy. This is a leadership role responsible for building and expanding the sales funnel, executing go-to-market strategy through our sales channels, and delivering on revenue targets.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You will have ownership of business development for the company leading solution-level customer discussions, enabling and engaging our sales channels, and translating market opportunities into actionable revenue plans. Success in this role requires initiative, business acumen, and comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment where structure is still being built.

Key Responsibilities
- Own business development for Onyx 360, accountable for pipeline growth and revenue delivery.
- Build and maintain a sales funnel to support near-term targets and long-term growth.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for current and future solution offerings through Onyx 360’s sales channels.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop and promote sales and sales enablement collateral for use by Onyx 360’s sales channels.
- Enable, support, and actively engage sales channels to identify, shape, and advance opportunities.
- Lead solution-level discussions with customers, mapping business and operational challenges to Onyx 360’s offerings and partner technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop opportunity strategies, pricing inputs, and deal structures.
- Take approved messaging and positioning to the field, ensuring consistent and effective market execution.
- Develop monthly forecasts using sales channel CRM data as input to S&OP processes.
- Represent business development as a member of the leadership team, contributing to company strategy and growth priorities.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (technical background strongly preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience, including business development, solution selling, or commercial leadership in technical or industrial domains.
- Experience selling complex, services-led solutions with long sales cycles.
- Strong understanding of the simulation and automation industry, or closely adjacent industrial technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work through and with sales channels or partner-led sales models.
- Proven track record of building pipeline and delivering revenue in ambiguous or early-stage environments.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Background in industrial automation, simulation, digital twins, and/or other industrial software applications.
- Experience working in startup or growth-stage companies.
- Exposure to enterprise customers and installed-base selling motions.
- Experience collaborating closely with marketing and engineering teams to support go-to-market execution.
